This is my FAVORITE picture! I love the sense of acomplishment as they proudly wave their flag claiming Brickfield Mountain! This is drawn absolutely fantastic! Love it!
Teehee, you were quick, Chrissy. I only just posted this picture. I sure knew how to draw the bricks, after all, I helped my husband build our brick house.
Did you notice one of Gertie's socks s missing of her foot? I had to put in all the details. LOL.
This comment got deleted, so I'll add it here. Sorry, Charmaine:
Cute! I drew my characters today (while supervising an English test) and I NEVER usually draw. Mine don't quite look as good as yours :-) By Charmaine Clancy
Hi Melody. Lovely to have you visit my blog. I'm glad you liked the 'Darn Brickfield.' You were one of the first people to ever read, and critique this story. How long ago was that? Yipes! I've come around in a complete circle. LOL.
The flag at the top of the brickfield mountain is actually Polly's hanky with blood on it from her cut knee, and the sock is Gertie's. It has a scab in it. LOL. They used the flag to claim the mountain. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Jayde. I think this picture is my favourite one so far too. I'm working on a drawing of Velvet Ball now, just for fun and inspiration.
